I can't find a way to post, so I am just going to do it as a 'comment':

ZEN Vision M 30GB Video Display Problem

Original Firmware and Software: video comes over with Audio only, black screen/no video display

Updated Firmware and Software:
same behavior, no change

Display is fine otherwise, no other problems

Any idea what is causing this?
Is there a Media Player version conflict, or QuickTime conflict known with this product?

Would doing Video Conversion with another Program be advisable?
( can anyone recommend a good free program, if so? )

I just bought a refurb Zen Vision W. I loaded forst movie using M2 converter. Movie freezes after a little more than 1 hour...is this a recurrent problem?...today I loaded 2 new movies and BOTH movies freeze after some 90 minutes of play...what gives?

It appears that the Zen W has problems reading AVI files (which are 3 times the size of WMV files) . I converted these same movies into WMV files and they play fine. The only issue is that you don't get the same picture quality that an AVI can give you. Still, overall it's quite good..
