Solution: Creative Zen Microphoto Cannot/Unable Connect/Recognize In Windows Vista

Problem: My Creative Zen MicroPhoto is not recognise or not connecting to my Windows Vista machine. How do I need to do to get it recognised?

Solution: I have a zen microphoto and vista. I just installed the software. These are the steps I took to do so.
1. Open Control Panel
2. Click on Programs and Features
3. Go to Help menu which is on the top toolbar
4. Type in 'Install Program'
5. From the menu that comes up choose number 7 which is "Make older programs run in this verstion of windows"
6. Click on the link that says "Click to open Program Compatability Wizrd
7. Follow the wizard instructions and you should have no difficulty installing your software.
8. Make sure you say yes to using these compatability settings for this program in the future.

I hope it works for you. I just played around with help until I found this wonderful solution.

Hi, I'm having some trouble with Zen Microphoto Media Explorer running in Windows Vista.

I can use it and open it, but when I try to close the window it just won't close. I have to use the task manager to force the window to close.

I'd really appreciate some help to fix this problem.

Thanks a lot.

The only error message I get is during installation and it says... "CTRegSvU fails to register 'C:\Program Files\Creative\Import Wizard Unicode\CTMyComu.cte"

I think it has nothing to do with my problem.

When I try to close the ZMP Media Explorer I get this message of "windows explorer does not respond" and "windows explorer is restarting".

Is really frustrating because everything works fine, but I can't open the ZMP Media explorer because I need to use the task manager to close it.

I don`t know if this has anything to do with the explorer.exe process which I suppose is very different from Windows Xp.

Thank you for your help.
