Creative is fast becoming a chipmaker just like Intel, ZiiLABS or AMD supplying X-Fi chips to other manufacturers. If we do not speculate wrongly, in this bad time, Creative is concentrating on the lower end of the manufacturing industry supplying chips, which has a lower risk than making higher end consumer products such as mp3 players. ZiiLABS, a Creative company, is a good example.
OK, Not too long ago we saw the X-Fi GigaByte motherboard and now the MSI's X-Fi Xtreme Audio Card with true hardware decoding. MSI knows the best audio chip comes from Creative :)
