This is an official letter from Wynne Leong, Corporate Communications, Creative Technology Ltd in regards to the article on “Say something, Mr Sim”.
We refer to “Say something, Mr Sim” (April 2) regarding the recent resignations of Creative’s independent directors from its board.
We wish to highlight that as stated in our SGX announcements, Mr Tang Chun Choy has resigned from Creative’s board due to his other personal commitments, and the resignation of Mr Tan Lip-Bu was due to his other work commitments.
In our SGX announcements filed separately on Jan 30 this year (in the case of Mr Tan’s resignation) and on March 31 this year (in the case of Mr Tang’s resignation), we have also stated the following:
• There is no difference of opinion on material matters between Mr Tan and the board of directors, and between Mr Tang and the board of directors;
• There are no matters in relation to their respective resignations that need to be brought to the attention of Creative’s shareholders;
• There is no other relevant information relating to their resignations to be provided to Creative’s shareholders.
We reiterate that both directors’ resignations were due to their own personal reasons and were not related to Creative.
