Problem: This problem is encountered by one of our member, RyanClark85. AVI files don't want to transfer, whenever I try to it says "Video File Information Extractor has encountered a problem and needs to close." It does this any way I try to transfer, through the Zen Media Explorer or otherwise.
Solution: Of course RyanClark85 problem is more than that as we solved this problem but another came up. Well, while troubleshooting, we confirmed that the error "Video File Information Extractor has encountered a problem and needs to close" is due to zen media explorer uses vfsvru.exe which has crashed. the crash is likely due to conflicts between xvid.dll and vfsvru.exe.
So, if you have installed any xvid codec, pls uninstall the 3rd party codec and try to transfer your videos again. This error message should be gone.
