Yah, but the problem is the PID software does not work. It tells me I'm not running Win7 and need to install it. I'm already running Win7. Check the Creative forum on this topic - NO ONE can get it to work. Creative is running a racket - it does NOT support Win7 x64.
microsoft keeps changing their OS, manufacturers like creative is having a hard time playing catchup game
I just got off the phone with Creative Tech support. They are acting like no such issue exists. They are lying through their teeth by not fixing their faulty driver or providing support for their customers.
My SB X-fi is working fine.
is your soundblaster stated in the list stated above? if yes, then try the driver
My card is not detected by this patch either. I have tried 2 different PCIE-slots
This patch tells me I don't have any creative devices on my system then shuts down? But the sound works and uses the windows drivers. I can't install the creative drivers because they tell me there is no X-fi card there. Even stranger this worked perfectly before I re-installed win 7. Device manager has it labeled high definition audio device [onboard sound is disabled]. I'm thinking my life was fine until Windows Seven, XP never gave me so much crap.
I'm anonymous from comment above. I had an idea to install XP on my backup drive which would detect the X-Fi and prove Windows Seven to be rubbish ---- XP didn't see the card either! So the problem is hardware. Apologies to Windows Seven!
but your sound card work before you install win 7. so its not the sound card issue too. do you have the latest driver installed?
