Sorry, but there exists no firmware solution for the playlist problem. The solution mentioned here is a software solution only. Creative Central has learned to write "crippled" PL. So, if you are happy with Creative Central you are fine!

If you want to use a "real" Media Software (WinAMP / MediaMonkey) the problem exists!

The Zen MX is a light weight device. It is very light in weight. It is very easy to operate. The video quality is really very nice. Design-wise, it looks quite similar to the older zen. Memory used is expandable. The one negative point is the small screen. Users cannot easily watch a movie. Features are very satisfying. For more details refer creative zen mx

Now you can get the firmware update 1.02.04, I've downloaded and installed this version and the problem with the playlist is in this version resolved (on the unit itself and not on the SDHC card). You have to upload the playlist (again) with Creative Centrale and then you can play the playlist.
